The Jacky field was discovered in Apr 2007 and yielded low gas content oil from the Middle Jurassic Beatrice Sands, c 2km below surface. The oil is sent by pipeline to Beatrice A for processing and onward export.
As recovery proceeded and gas pressures fell, water from Beatrice AP was injected to assist with oil lift. The field was economically exhausted in 2014. Decommissioning was completed by Jun 2020.
