The Laggan Field was discovered in 1986 and is a gas / gas condensate producer from the Upper Paleocene turbidite sandstones of the Vaila sequence. Assessment drilling completed in 2004 and work on production systems began around 2010. The field was developed with drilling by West Phoenix, in association with the Tormore Field, c 8.5nm away. The development infrastructure is all subsea (in c 600m of water), with gas and condensate first piped to Sullom Voe on Shetland (in 2016), for further processing.
