The Nini field was discovered in 2000, c 19 nm north east of the Siri field, with the reservoir in Eocene and Palaeocene sandstones of the Siri Fairway structure in the Norwegian-Danish Basin. Nini N-A was producing by 2003 and sending its crude oil to a seafloor storage system, beneath the Siri platform. Nini N-B (aka Nini East) was built in 2009.
