The Siri field was discovered in 1995 with the reservoir in the Palaeocene Heimdal Sandstone of the Siri Fairway structure in the Norwegian-Danish Basin. Siri was producing by 1999 and storing its crude oil in a seafloor system for tankered export to the Danish mainland. It has become a production augmentation and storage hub for the Cecile-Siri-Nini fields.
