Northern North Sea, Block 34/10 Valemon field, Offshore Norway |
Valemon is a gas-condensate field to the south of Gulfaks Sor, discovered in 1985. The Development and Operations plan was approved in 2011 and production started in 2015.
The reservoirs are in complex faulted blocks of Middle Jurassic Brent Group and Lower Jurassic Cook Formation. Gas production taps into the Heimdal pipeline for treatment and export, while the condensate is passed eastwards to the adjacent Kvitebjørn field.
