Ex Luftwaffe AB-47Gs formed original equipment of the MLF Helicopter Flight in May 1972. Flown into Luqa (LMML) in two Transall C-160Ds on 24 and 29 May 1972 and delivered by road to the nearby St.Patricks Barracks, to become part of the Malta Land Force 1 Regiment.
