Replacement
On December 2017, German Air Force "Schwerer Transporthubschrauber" (STH) program was approved. Plans to buy 45 to 60 new heavy-lift helicopters expecting to issue request for information by second half of 2018. Contract expected to be awarded in mid-2020 and deliveries to begin in 2023.
