Contract for 5 AW119Kx helicopters, plus 2 options signed on October 2018 to begin replacement of Alouette III. First aircraft delivered via air to Spain by Leonardo Philadelphia plant on January 28th, 2019. Official reception ceremony held by Squadron 552 on February 17th

22-Feb-19 - Portugal’s Air Force received the first two of five AW119Kx in a ceremony held at Beja Air Base. Rest will followed on early 2020. The new helicopter is replacing the Alouette III in service since 1960s #Delivery
