Ecocopter, October 06, 2022 - Santiago, Chile - The new helicopters will gradually join one of the most modern fleets in the Southern Cone, which currently consists of 18 aircraft, all manufactured by Airbus.

In a visit to the French aeronautical company's facilities, the Ecocopter delegation saw in situ the manufacturing progress and closed the purchase of the helicopters that had already been advanced at the Heli-Expo 2022 fair held in Dallas, USA.

Ecocopter has 13 units of the H125, two H135, and three H145 / EC145 models for its operations. The new helicopters will be used for the different types of aerial work and services provided by the company, mainly in the mining sector, energy, telecommunications, aeromedical transfers, forest firefighting, and a wide range of aerial missions.

The helicopters acquired will be delivered in two phases; the first at the end of this year and the second phase in mid-2023. The aircraft will be added to the fleet operating in Chile, Peru and Ecuador.

"These new high performance helicopters represent a clear step in our strategy to consolidate our regional presence in South America, and we will continue on the path of being a reference in high complexity aerial work missions with the purpose of safety, efficiency, innovation and sustainability," says Marcelo Rajchman, Corporate Manager of Ecocopter.

The incorporation of a new H145 will make it the third aircraft to start operations in Chile.

All three belong to Ecocopter's fleet. These aircraft have the latest technology in aeronautics, which makes them one of the most modern helicopter models of the manufacturer Airbus. Its particularly low acoustic footprint makes the H145 the quietest helicopter in its class.

Meanwhile, the worldwide fleet of Airbus H125s has accumulated more than 37 million flight hours, with more than 5,350 units in service, and is recognized for its robustness, versatility and performance in high-altitude and high-temperature missions.

About Ecocopter : A company that covers the need to provide efficient and fast aerial solutions to solve the most diverse situations, provides highly complex helicopter services in passenger transport, cargo, off-shore, forest fire fighting and aeromedical transfers, in Chile, Ecuador and Peru, among other services. In addition, Ecocopter has one of the most modern fleets in the Southern Cone, has its own Maintenance Center (CMA) and an Engine Workshop (Safran Turbomeca), a category 5+ flight simulator, which allows to have the equipment available for a quick response to the demands of the operation.
