Florida’s Flagler County Sheriff’s Receives Bell 505 Helicopter

SEA has completed a mission-equipped Bell 505 for the Flagler County Sheriff’s Office, adding advanced ISR, NVIS and EMS capabilities to support law enforcement and public safety operations.

The Bell 505 continues to gain popularity among U.S. law enforcement agencies thanks to its low operating costs, modern avionics and adaptability for airborne public safety missions.

SEA, a specialist in law enforcement aircraft modifications, has delivered a mission-ready Bell 505 to the Flagler County Sheriff’s Office (FCSO).

The aircraft was modified with an expanded instrument panel featuring a MacroBlue MB15W NVIS-compatible touchscreen monitor, a Technisonic TDFM-9100 tactical radio, a three-place PS Engineering PAC-45 mission audio distribution system and a Garmin GTX 345 ADS-B Out/In transponder.

For intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance operations, SEA installed a complete Trakka mission suite comprising a TC-300 electro-optical/infrared sensor, TC100 mapping computer, TLX searchlight and TrakkaStream video downlink system.

The cockpit was also upgraded and certified for night vision imaging system operations under an existing supplemental type certificate held by Aero Dynamix Inc.

SEA additionally provisioned the Bell 505 for the MED-PAC EMS Lite system under an existing STC. The lightweight medical configuration replaces the copilot and rear seats and allows the helicopter to carry one patient.

This capability will enable the Flagler County Sheriff’s Office to provide additional support during emergencies, including the evacuation of injured officers and civilians when required.

The upgraded aircraft is intended to improve law enforcement surveillance, suspect tracking, search and rescue and public safety operations by giving crews enhanced capabilities to locate, identify and follow people from the air.

SEA has modified more than 50 aircraft for law enforcement agencies across the United States, including operators in Michigan, Connecticut and Florida, as well as the Drug Enforcement Administration.

The company also works with other aircraft integrators to install certified mission consoles and sensor mounts. Its ISR products are now in service across the country, while many of its supplemental type certificates have received European Union Aviation Safety Agency and Transport Canada validation.

SEA displayed the Flagler County Sheriff’s Office Bell 505 at APSCON 2026 in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, from July 15 to 17.
