Flagler County Sheriff’s Office is the primary law enforcement agency serving Flagler County, Florida, United States. Established in 1917 and headquartered in Bunnell, the office is responsible for countywide policing outside incorporated municipalities, as well as providing law enforcement services under agreement in some areas. Its duties include patrol operations, criminal investigations, traffic enforcement, civil process, court security, detention services, and emergency response, operating as part of Florida’s county sheriff system.
In addition to routine law enforcement functions, the Flagler County Sheriff’s Office oversees the county jail, coordinates with municipal, state, and federal agencies, and supports public safety through specialized units and community-oriented programs. The agency’s activities reflect its dual role as both a law enforcement authority and an administrative institution within county government, tasked with maintaining public order, enforcing state and local laws, and supporting the judicial system across Flagler County.
