Coldstream, March 10, 2022 - Leading heavy utility operator Coldstream Helicopters has signed a letter of intent (LOI) with Heli-One, the world’s largest independent helicopter MRO, to secure support of their AS332L/L1 fleet across the Americas.
Through the LOI, Coldstream will leverage Heli-One’s deep expertise and support capabilities on the Airbus Super Puma product to create best-in-class availability for their rapidly expanding customer base.
In a deal with initial value of $20M for critical component and engine maintenance, the partnership will drive value through unique and customized mechanisms that remove complexity, shorten lead-times, provide in-depth visibility across the organizations, and ultimately lower the operating costs for Coldstream.
“The criticality, especially in the current global environment, of securing and shortening the supply chain has never been higher”, states Coldstream President and CEO Robert Gallagher.
“Our customers are asking us to do more, to gain efficiencies wherever possible, and to perform at the highest standard in some of the most challenging conditions. There is a long value chain that is tied to that performance and we want to maximize every opportunity to improve that value chain, including on-time delivery of high-value components.”
“Much like the value drivers we strive for in our day-to-day business, this LOI outlines the goals for safety, quality, delivery and cost for both organizations”, summarized Kevin Spengler, VP of Heli-One. “It is a tremendous opportunity to support a critical market for us, and to help Coldstream Helicopters achieve their ultimate goals.”
