Helis, June 26, 2019 - The fifth and last flight test vehicle (FTV) of the Bell 525 helicopter performed its maiden flight at Bell' Amarillo facility in Texas.
This aircraft will be used to conduct customer demonstration flights.
Following the tragic lost of the first aircraft in July 2016, the four aircraft logged more than 1,000 flight hours up to date.
The Bell 525 is likely to enter service for offshore transport missions but is offered as a VVIP aircraft and Search and Rescue (SAR) as well.
More recently, Bell has also proposed the 525 for the US Army' Future Attack Reconnaissance Aircraft (FARA) competition.
