HTC, October 18, 2016 - Helicopter Technology Company (HTC) has announced it now offers metal main rotor blades for commercial Bell 204B, 205 and 205A-1 aircraft, along with various UH-1 model restricted category helicopters.
The HTC part number 204P2100-101 main rotor blade is a direct replacement for the Bell Helicopter-Textron part number 204-011-250-113 main rotor blade.
HTC designs and produces its own line of helicopter main and tail rotor blades at its facilities in Los Angeles, California. The company is a Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) approved production approval holder and repair station (#HQPR671X) with ISO 9001:2008 + AS9100C and ISO 9001:2008 and AS9110B certifications.
“HTC was formed in 1994 and has rotor blades in service in more than 40 countries around the world,” said Frank Palminteri, HTC president and CEO. “We saw there was a need in the UH-1 market for main rotor blades and worked to get them certificated and into production for UH-1 operators to insure that blades are available when they need them.”
The HTC UH-1 main rotor blade is fully interchangeable and carries a life-limit of 2,600 hours. Installation of this blade is covered by FAA supplemental type certificate number SR02492LA.
Part number 204P2100-101 main rotor blades feature:
- FAA certified interchangeable in any combination with BHT 204-011-250-113 blade;
- An additional 48-inch (1219 millimetre) stainless steel abrasion strip at tip;
- 7075 aluminum alloy spar; and
- High visibility paint schemes available.
