New Maintenance Solution for Black Hawk

PPI Technical Services (Precision Group), ARMES Aviation and Nebraska Gas Turbine in new partnership to provide maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) to UH-60 / S-70 Black Hawk airframe and its T700 engine

New Maintenance Solution for Black Hawk
Precision Aviation Group, July 29, 2022 - Bellevue, Washington – PPI Tech Services LLC, a member of the Precision Aerospace Products (PAP) group of companies and a pioneer in enhancing in-country maintenance and operational capabilities, has announced a strategic teaming agreement with Nebraska Gas Turbine Inc. (NGTI) and ARMES Aviation LLC.

This groundbreaking association merges core UH-60 experience and a deep understanding of innovative and international operations.

The three companies will offer a comprehensive Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) solution for the Black Hawk Helicopter platform, including the General Electric T700 engine and the UH-60/S70i airframe structure, avionics hydraulics, fabrication, and complete flight line maintenance.

The new partnership creates a best-in-class and streamlined repair solution that combines the companies' advanced engineering capabilities and international customer relationships to bolster their global mission of supporting the U.S. Government and its allies.

PAP has capitalized on the opportunity to build upon its core knowledge with over 100 years of cumulative engineering experience by expanding tangential markets.

PAP / NGTI / ARMES

The PAP/NGTI/ARMES Aviation strategic partnership opens the doors to a new line of T700 & UH-60/S70i airframe repairs and brings together three of the industry's most renowned engineering groups.

NGTI supports various General Electric, Honeywell, and Rolls-Royce helicopter engines and engine components. This experience allows them to transition seamlessly into the maintenance of other engines in the series, too. Its sister company, ARMES Aviation LLC, is well known for its specialization in reconfiguring surplus UH-60s, focusing on reducing excess weight to increase performance and maximize helicopter efficacy, reliability, and lift capability.

Their Heavy UH-60 Maintenance capabilities include PMI 1 and PMI 2, Aircraft Rigging, FIT test, Flight Control, Cabin Tub, and Fuel Cell Corrosion Inspections.

NGTI and ARMES Aviation conform to FAR Part 145 standards and employ an exceptional group of technical and inspection personnel with more than 120 years of combined experience backed by their industry-exclusive warranty.

"We are proud to be a strategic partner with both NGTI and ARMES Aviation, underscoring our long-term objectives and missions. We continue to focus on being the first to engineer a solution and new approaches to extend the life of UH-60s, and this partnership is at the heart of our corporate mission - 'Knowledge, Relationships and Solutions.” George Canovas, Corporate CCO and Executive Vice President of PPI-Technical Services.

With the addition of NGIT and ARMES Aviation engineering groups, the transformation of the PAP Group of Companies has hit another milestone – conceived and executed deliberately and precisely.
