Metro Aviation, April 17, 2025 - Shreveport, LA – Metro Aviation proudly recognizes the talent, discipline, and strong work ethic that military members bring to its organization.
With over 40% of its workforce made up of Veterans, the company continues to demonstrate its commitment to supporting service members transitioning to civilian careers. Today, Metro is excited to announce its official approval as a Department of Defense (DoD) SkillBridge employer.
Britney Ratcliff, Director of Human Resources at Metro Aviation said “We’ve been participating in the SkillBridge program for over two years through a great partnership with BreakTurn. It’s been a win-win—this program benefits both our company and the service members who join us. We’ve successfully transitioned several participants into full-time roles in operations, maintenance, and avionics.”
The DoD SkillBridge program allows active-duty service members to gain valuable civilian work experience during their final six months of service. At Metro, participants can immerse themselves in hands-on internships that prepare them for potential careers post-military.
“The veterans we’ve worked with through SkillBridge are incredible,” Ratcliff added. “Their dedication, attention to detail, and technical skills are a perfect match for the high standards we uphold. We’re proud to be a part of their next chapter.”
