This milestone not only marks two decades of history but also consolidates an exceptional success story: that of two brothers, Luis and Pedro Olarte, who began building simulators in a garage and have transformed their vision into a world-leading company.
Today, entrol is a benchmark in flight simulation, technological excellence, reliability, and has a deep understanding of the needs of operators, flight schools, and law enforcement agencies.
From a garage in Spain to global leadership
Entrol’s history is one of strategic and calculated expansion. After an initial sale to a Spanish flight school, the company embarked on a growth trajectory that took it to Belgium in 2008, Chile in 2011 (marking its entry into the Americas), the United Arab Emirates in 2013, and finally Australia in 2022, completing its presence across all five continents.
Today, the market's trust is reflected in a client portfolio that includes elite operators such as Air Corporate in Italy; training providers like Heli Protection Europe, which has entrusted entrol with five different simulators; and law enforcement agencies like the Spanish National Police.
The key to entrol’s success has been its unwavering commitment to in-house technology development, fostered by a culture that empowers its team.
Tomás Ladrón de Guevara, Project Manager at entrol, explains this philosophy: "At entrol, we promote two necessary factors to sustain innovation over time: a capable team willing to face challenges year after year, and an environment where that team can grow and provide solutions."
This culture has not only allowed the company to grow its catalog from 4 to 25 models but also to achieve world-first milestones:
- Manufacturing the world's first FTD simulator for the SkyCrane, demonstrating a unique ability to develop custom solutions for the most complex missions.
- Pioneering the certification of simulators with LED visual technology (enwall), setting a new standard for realism in the industry.
- Making a strong entry into the Full Flight Simulators (FFS) market, the culmination of two decades of experience.
"Looking back at what we've achieved in 20 years is incredible," says Luis Olarte, CEO of entrol. "But our greatest pride isn't just growth, but leading the industry with milestones like the first LED simulator certification. We aren't following trends; we are creating them, and that has become entrol's DNA."
entrol is facing the next 20 years with a strategic investment in growth. The company's facilities will be expanded to over 6,000 m², featuring a new production center capable of housing up to 4 FFS and 6 FTDs simultaneously.
"Our commitment is to ensure crews are always ready," concludes Olarte. "We will continue to invest in technology and expand our global presence to empower pilots and operators with the most advanced tools on the market."
Celebrating 20 years at European Rotors
To commemorate this milestone with the international community, entrol will host a special celebration at its booth during European Rotors, from November 17th to 20th, 2025. Each day of the event, the company will invite attendees to enjoy Spanish ham and champagne, providing a festive opportunity to celebrate two decades of success with clients and partners from around the world.
