The 16th annual Bray Air Display took place on Saturday 29th and Sunday 30th July 2023 in Dublin with the Irish Air Corps celebrating 60 years of Helicopter Operations

Bray Air Display, July 29, 2023 - This year’s event will see the Bray Air Display team up with the Irish Air Corps who are celebrating 60 years of helicopter operations.

Over the weekend there will be a chance to witness the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight featuring the RAF's famous Lancaster, Spitfire, and Hurricane planes.

Take a look at our incredible 2023 full lineup. In addition to this, there will be plenty of ground-level entertainment such as a funfair, static display by the Irish Defence Forces (Sunday only), food and craft village, and more, ensuring there's something for everyone to enjoy.

It's 2 days of action & entertainment with the weekend kicking off Saturday, July 29th with ground entertainment from 12 noon daily followed by the airshow at 3 pm on both days. These are approximate times and are subject to change.

While the Bray Air Display is a free family weekend, our Flight Deck and corporate hospitality packages are for those looking for an extra special airshow experience this year!

The airshow will take place on both Saturday, July 29th and Sunday, July 30th from 3 pm (Line-up is not in order of appearance and is subject to changes. All aircraft and display teams will perform on both days unless stated below in RED):

- The AeroSuperBatics Wingwalkers will perform their unique formation display

- Watch the Defence Forces Black Knights Parachute Team (Sunday only) freefall onto Bray beach

- Enjoy Eddie Goggins, aka The Flying Dentist’s jaw-dropping performance

- There’s old-world glamour from the Irish Historic Flight Foundation Chipmunk and Stearman aircraft

- The Garda Air Support Unit once again makes a flying visit. They provide invaluable air support for Garda ground operations

- The Aer Lingus A320neo will be a showstopper (Sunday only)

- There’s vintage aviation-style from the Catalina Flying Boat and the Mustang ‘Miss Helen’.

- See the iconic and historic Lancaster, Spitfire and Hurricane fly in formation during a Battle of Britain Memorial Flight

- A Search and Rescue display will honour the selfless men and women who play such a key role in safeguarding Irish lives

- Be amazed at the aerobatic antics of the Royal Jordanian Falcons

- Pilot Sean Bennett flies a Stearman

- Picture perfect formation display from the world-famous Red Arrows – (Flypast on Saturday, July 29th and full display sequence on Sunday, July 30th)

- Sweden’s Saab 37 Viggen will ‘thunderbolt’ across the Bray skyline

- Team Raven, a formation aerobatic display team will fly 6 self-build Van RV8 aircraft

Celebrating 60 years of Helicopter Operations in Ireland


Royal Air Force, August 1, 2023 - The RAF were delighted to be invited to join the Irish Air Corps in celebrating 60 years of Helicopter Operations at this year’s Families Day and 2023 Bray Air show, in Dublin.

To mark the anniversary, Air Officer Northern Ireland, Air Marshal Sean Reynolds, was hosted by Irish Air Corps GOC, Brigadier General Rory O’Connor. The Red Arrows, the BBMF (Battle of Britain Memorial Flight) with their Avro Lancaster, and a 202 Squadron helicopter from RAF Valley, displayed alongside other international allies and partners.

At the Families Day, the BBMF flew alongside the Irish Air Corps Aerobatic Display Team, the Silver Swallows in a crowd-pleasing display. During the day, the public had the chance to experience the history of Irish helicopter aviation, with displays by the incredibly versatile EC135P2 and Augusta Westland AW139 and to engage with RAF and Irish Air Corps personnel.

At Bray, the Red Arrows flew an exciting 20-minute display, inspiring and thrilling the huge crowds that packed the beautiful seaside town.
