Russian Ministry of Defence, May 09, 2020 - Russian military aviation crews flew over central square of Novosibirsk on May 9 to mark the 75th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-45.
Take-off of airplanes and helicopters was carried out from two airfields in the Novosibirsk Region and Krasnoyarsk Territory.
Both aircraft formations merged and flew over Lenin Square on time. The flight was carried out at minimum altitudes from 200 to 400 meters with a speed of 200 km/h for helicopters and 400 km/h for fixed-wing aircraft.
The event was attended by military pilots of a separate helicopter regiment and the Kansk airbase of the Central Military District. The flight involved 10 aircraft including Mi-8 AMTSH-V transport assault helicopters, Mi-24 attack helicopters and MiG-31 fighter interceptors.
