PAS, September 04, 2024 - Leonardo and Petroleum Air Services (PAS) of Egypt are strengthening their established collaboration in helicopter services.

With a fleet of eight AW139 light intermediate twin-engine helicopters used for passenger and offshore transport in support of the country's energy industry, and as a Recognized Service Centre for Leonardo’s commercial helicopters, Petroleum Air Services has now been elevated to the status of an Authorized Service Centre.

This enhanced technical support role will enable Petroleum Air Services to offer more services, improve spare parts management, and provide expanded solutions to third-party customers and users, thereby boosting the overall quality and level of service in the region.

Petroleum Air Services has been operating AW139 helicopters in support of the oil and gas industry in Egypt since 2009, logging nearly 24,000 flight hours. The AW139 has proven to be a crucial asset for the company, meeting the rigorous standards of OGP customers and excelling in deepwater operations.

The helicopter has played a key role in enabling the company to support the expansion of offshore transport activities and exploration in the Eastern Mediterranean, where high safety standards, advanced avionics, high speed, and superior performance are required.
