The UH-60 helicopter is now operational in our country, with its inaugural flight taking place on Tuesday, December 12th, departing from Air Base No. 8 in Ovar.
Just two days after the first operational flight, both aircraft in the fleet successfully reached the White Flag, flying simultaneously.
During this inaugural week of operation, a total of 8 hours and 25 minutes of flight time was recorded.
The UH-60 Black Hawk helicopters, assigned to Squadron 551 Panthers, are designated for aerial combat against rural fires and ground force projection, with Air Base No. 8 in Ovar serving as their home base.
