In 2022, Portugal signed a contract for six second-hand UH-60A helicopters to be delivered between 2023 and 2025. The aircraft will be refurbished by Arista Aviation Services and used by Squadron 551 for rural aerial firefighting. Three additional Black Hawks were authorized in September 2024 for delivery in 2026.

Portuguese Air Force Receives Third UH-60 Black Hawk
