SevenBar, February 05, 2016 - Dallas, TX — SevenBar Aviation is pleased to announce it has signed a multi-year agreement to provide the University of Virginia Health System’s Pegasus program with FAA Part 135 services.
SevenBar Aviation will provide turn-key maintenance and aviation services for the Agusta 109E and the Pegasus program as well as the provision of back-up helicopters when required.
This partnership, to begin March 1, 2016, is an opportunity for SevenBar to help the UVA Health System accomplish its mission to serve Virginia. Transport services will support UVA Medical Center, UVA Children’s Hospital, UVA Transitional Care Hospital and other UVA-affiliated programs and centers. Pegasus is UVA’s hospital-based air and ground transport service, providing care to critically ill or injured patients.
The UVA aircraft, flying at 177 miles per hour, brings lifesaving equipment, critical care nurses and paramedics to emergency scenes and small, rural hospitals throughout the state of Virginia and surrounding regions. SevenBar is ideally positioned to step in and provide rotor wing air medical transport solutions for UVA Health System. By focusing on providing the most advanced technology and highly trained professionals, SevenBar will play a key role in meeting the needs of UVA patients.
