ICARUS, April 21, 2023 - ICARUS Devices is proud to announce that it has won a contract to supply AAR Worldwide Aviation Support Services and the Department of State Air Wing with its game-changing training tool.
The contract includes both standard ICARUS Devices and NVG compatible ICARUS visors.
AAR WASS is an exceptional team of professionals providing global, world-class expeditionary and conventional aviation solutions to the US Department of State Air Wing. They operate a diverse fleet of rotary-wing and fixed-wing aircraft.

The Instrument Conditions Awareness Recognition and Understanding System (ICARUS)is a smart view limiting device that gives Instructor Pilots the ability to simulate Degrade Visual Environments (DVE) in the aircraft. ICARUS changes visibility and allows IPs to dial in the visibility for dynamic scenario-based training.
The ICARUS NVG visor attaches to the end of the NVG tubes and weighs just a 1/10th of a pound. It uses the same Power Control Unit and App as the standard ICARUS Device.
Over 300 ICARUS devices are flying coast to coast, for initial and recurrent training, and in everything from a Cessna 172 to a CH-47 Chinook. The ICARUS Device team would like to thank AAR WASS for their dedication to reducing weather related aviation accidents.
