Helis, January 23, 2019 - The Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) Armed Forces, Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, unveiled a Black Hawk equipped with a new weapons system.
The UAE Air Force operates around 60 UH-60L/M helicopters.
The Black Hawk was fitted with a nose-mounted electro-optic/infrared (EO/IR) sensor turret, stub-wing pylons for rocket pods and missiles, door-mounted Gatlin guns, modified exhaust outlets and chaff/flare dispensers.
These modifications were made by the Advanced Military Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul Center (AMMROC) in Abu Dhabi which 40% is owned by Lockheed Martin/Sikorsky.
