Established 1988, Luxembourg Air Rescue (LAR) is a non-profit organization operating both air ambulances and rescue helicopters carrying out more than 3000 missions a year.

As of 2023 employs around 190 staff and operates 5 MD902 helicopters and its first Airbus H145D3 which will upgrade the fleet in the coming years. They also have a Challenger 605 and three Learjet 45 fixed-wing aircraft under the brand European Air Ambulance (EAA)

Luxembourg Air Rescue Begins Transition to H145D3

Jul 6, 2023 · Luxembourg’s air ambulance operator, LAR, received the first Airbus H145D3 to replace the current fleet of MD902 in the coming years. A second helicopter is planned to arrive later this year

SAS Wins Luxembourg MD902 Maintenance Contract

Sep 26, 2010 · Specialist Aviation Services (SAS) signed contract with Luxemboug Air Rescue for the maintenance of their MD902 helicopters including the one operated by the Police
