In 1998 it was announced that 126 Sq would undertake a 15 year training mission in Australia. The first helicopters arrived at Amberley via airlift and moved to Oakey throughout Sep 1998. Regular training deployments to Rockhampton and Shoalwater Bay are part of the courses.
