Formed on 1 Oct 1969 with Singapore first Alouette IIIs. Became 120 Squadron when the unit was renamed in Dec 1973. 
The correct formation date was 1 Oct 1969 at Selatar Base with 8 Alouette III helicopters. It was the first Squadron in the Singapore Air Defence Command (SADC) of the Singapore Armed Forces. I was a pioneer pilot in Alouette Squadron at that time, and later commanded 120 Squadron in 1975. Thank you. LTC (Ret) Leo Tin Boon.
