After fighting in World War II, 430 Squadron used F-86 Sabre and F-104 Starfighter jets during the Cold War. In 1971 was reformed as 430 Escadron tactique dhélicoptères. The squadron deployed abroad as part of United Nations Mission in Haiti (UNMIH) 1993/1996 and as Multinational Force and Observers in the Sinai.
