Helicopter Attack (Light) Squadron 5

It operated out of NAS Pt Mugu, CA deployed to South Korea every year, Was involved in Spec opt south of USA. Was regular unit but became a Naval Air reserve Squadron in Feb 1988, then became HSC5

Established in 1978 at Pt Mugu, CA and de-establiched in Oct 1989. In addition to the Korean Detachments She also went to El Centro, CA. Yuma, AZ. Marine base. Ft Lewis, WA. & Cairo Egypt.

1984-1988, Weapons and Maintenance Chief. Transitioned to H-60’s in 88 and transferred to NAS South Weymouth as Station Weapons Chief there.
