1968 ch-47a b-126 US 64-13154 : US Army, conv to ACH-47A Guns-A-Go-Go; nicknamed BIRTH CONTROL; Apr66 asg 53rd Avn Det for eval in Vietnam; w/o 22feb68 during recapture of Hue in the Tet Offensive
1968 ch-47b b-384 US 66-19126 : She was named Mother Goose, crewed by F/E Jerry McBee, now deceased and me; Dan Markell. Part of a 16 ship ASHC deployed to Can Tho, RVN In Jan68. Mother Goose was shot down, controlled crash, subsequently burned to the ground. NO loss of life due to skill of pilots;; pictured upper left, 126 in country first week or so. Upper right, May 9, 1968 after being shot down, burnt to a a crisp, no casualties! Good thing Charlie hit the engines and aft pylon instead of the head shed.

1971 yhc-1b b-001 US 59-04982 : Vertol Model 114, c/n B-001, ff: n/a; YHC-1B 59-04982 was rolled out on 28Apr61 and immediately bailed to Vertol as a test bed. Tied down securely on the Vertol plant ramp, this aircraft became the subject of an endurance project designed to explore the durability of the power plant and drive train system before delivery to the US Army on 26Oct62; redesignated YCH-47A Nov62; accumulated 3,854.0 aircraft hours before being administratively struck off charge on 01Jun71. It was moved to Aberdeen Proving Grounds on 17May72 for ballistic testing; current status and whereabouts unknown.
