1979-08-27 C EGAAThis aircraft was the Warren Point bombing rescue aircraft and was badly damaged in the second explosion. After transferring casualties to hospital it returned to RAF Aldergrove where it was hangered and put in quarantine. It was examined and then cleaned out, prior to being repaired and returned to service at a later date. I was an RAF Police NCO based at Aldergrove at the time and remember her coming back and being towed straight into the hanger as soon as her rotors stopped. She was then screened from view by ta
