“ I was the air crewman the night this aircraft went down. Friday the 13th Storm Nov. 1981, that's one night I'll never forget ! We were trying to rescue the Kristina J fishing vessel from Charleston Boat basin, Coos Bay, Oregon. Winds were 90 knot sustained winds, with higher gusts ! We never found them, but we did see a freighter ship having waves completely engulf the vessel, the waves were crashing against the wheelhouse ! We searched 1:45 minutes, called off the search, seen land again, and I mentioned to both pilots Capt. Olson ”
