Bard 1 OWF consists of 80 turbines in 40m of water spread over c 60 sq km, initially commissioned in 2010 with a remote control centre in Emden and fully commissioned by 2013. BA HVDC is a High Voltage Direct Current transformer facility to export the power generated to shore. Although situated within the German Exclusive Economic Zone Air Traffic operates within the Amsterdam FIR. The platform is below NL Danger Area EHD05.
