Site of the former Fairey Aviation and later, Westland (Fairey Division) plant. Opened in spring of 1918. During the 1960s, completed Wasp & Scout airframes were moved by road to White Waltham for air test, as the Hayes factory had no flying facilities. Closed c 1972 after final Scout batch and most of the Puma were built. Remaining Puma production and all support work was transferred to Westland Oldmixon plant.
