The Kvitebjørn gas and condensate field was discovered in 1978 in the East Shetland Basin near the Median Line with the UK.
The 30/7 platform was established in 115m of water. The main production comes from the Middle Jurassic Brent Group sandstone (Tarbert Formation), from c 4000m depth. The gas and condensate is uploaded to a nearby FSO tanker.
