Discovered in 1974 in c 100m of North Sea. The development plan was approved in 1980 and the platform installed.
The reservoir is in Eocene sandstones of the Frigg Formation and gas production began in Apr 1984. Gas was piped via the Frigg TCP2 for termination at St Fergus in Scotland. It ceased in 1994 and the rig was decommissioned during 1996/97.
