HH-60U

Sikorsky HH-60U

Lockheed-Martin proposal to replace the UH-1N Huey USAF fleet. First 4 get from the US Army UH-60M Black Hawk production line and converted at the USAF Air Force Test Center (AFTC) in 2011.

The USAF selected the HH-60W in 2013 to replace the HH-60G Pave Hawk so savings through commonality is expected if selected.

Main contender in the replacement program was the Boeing/Leonardo MH-139 which was the one chosen by the USAF in September 2018. The HH-60U fleet future is uncertain but most probably they will join the HH-60W once the HH-60G retirement is complete.

As of 2019, assigned to Nellis AFB nicknamed Ghost Hawk
