AW169 in Scandinavian AirAmbulance

By introducing the AW169 into Sweden in 2018, Scandinavian AirAmbulance was one of the first operators in the world to operate the AW169 for HEMS. The first aircraft was launched in Östersund in January 2018, with introductions in Gällivare and Lycksele following shortly thereafter. The region of Uppsala switched to the AW169 in the autumn of 2019. As of 2025, three of these bases continue to operate the AW169.

Swedish Air Ambulance AW169 is First to Surpass 5,000 Flight Hours
