FARNBOROUGH, United Kingdom — Bell will showcase its full-size MV-75 Cheyenne mockup at the 2026 Farnborough International Airshow, one of the world’s leading aerospace and defense exhibitions. The display will introduce visitors to the U.S. Army’s future long-range assault aircraft while Bell also presents two commercial helicopters, the Bell 505 and Bell 407GXi.
The MV-75 Cheyenne represents Bell’s next-generation vertical lift solution developed under the U.S. Army’s Future Long-Range Assault Aircraft (FLRAA) program. Derived from the V-280 Valor technology demonstrator, the tiltrotor combines helicopter-style vertical takeoff and landing with the speed and range of a fixed-wing aircraft. Bell says its speed, extended range and multi-mission flexibility are intended to provide military operators with greater operational reach while reducing exposure in contested environments.
Jeff Schloesser, Senior Vice President, Strategic Pursuits said "Having an opportunity to showcase MV-75 Cheyenne allows us to demonstrate its transformational capabilities. We will highlight how it meets the evolving needs of modern military operations."
The company noted that the aircraft incorporates a Modular Open Systems Approach (MOSA), allowing mission systems and capabilities to be updated more rapidly as operational requirements evolve.
Alongside the military exhibit, Bell will display the Bell 505 and Bell 407GXi. The Bell 505 is widely used as a military and civilian training platform and is currently operated by armed forces in countries including Jamaica, Jordan, Bahrain, the United Arab Emirates, Montenegro, Albania, Indonesia, Iraq and South Korea. Since entering service in 2017, more than 700 Bell 505 helicopters have accumulated over 300,000 flight hours across more than 55 countries.
Robin Wendling, Managing Director, Europe said "Bell’s commercial platforms continue to redefine what customers can expect from modern rotorcraft. Showcasing the Bell 505 and Bell 407GXi on an international stage highlights their exceptional operator support and proven performance across a broad range of missions."
Bell said the Bell 407GXi complements the display with its advanced avionics, high-performance engine and configurable cabin, making it suitable for utility, public safety, corporate and emergency response missions.
