Helis, December 04, 2018 - AgustaWestland Malaysia handed over two AW189 helicopters to the Jabatan Bomba (Fire and Rescue Department) this morning in Subang, Malaysia.
The ceremony was graced by Housing and Local Government Minister Zuraida Kamaruddin who said the helicopters were worth RM105 million ($25M) per unit.
Also present was the Italian Deputy Foreign Minister Hon. Manlio Di Stefano.
The helicopters were ordered in February 2016 and will be used for firefighting, search and rescue and disaster relief missions. The AW189 has a cabin capable of accommodating 18 passengers and two pilots.
