Russian Helicopters delivered the first of 17 Mi-8AMT helicopters in kits to be assembled in Kazakhstan for the National Guard of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Ministry of Emergency Situations





First Mi-8AMT Assemblies Kits to Kazakhstan
Russian Helicopters, November 08, 2020 - The Ulan-Ude Aviation Plant of the Russian Helicopters holding, part of the Rostec State Corporation, has supplied two Mi-8AMT helicopter sets to Kazakhstan to be assembled locally.

The delivery was carried out within the framework of a tripartite agreement between JSC "NC" Kazakhstan Engineering (JSC) Aircraft Repair Plant N. 405 and the holding Russian Helicopters for the procurement of assembly kits of Mi-8AMT / Mi-171E helicopters. The agreement, signed in 2019, was for the delivery of 17 helicopter kits scheduled between 2020-2022.

The main customers of the Mi-8AMT helicopters in Kazakhstan are the National Guard of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Ministry of Emergency Situations. The first batch of helicopter kits will be used to assemble the Mi-8AMT for the needs of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

"I am confident that the successful implementation of the project on the large-unit assembly of Mi-8AMT / Mi-171 helicopters in Kazakhstan will become a significant step forward in the development of the country's helicopter industry and will allow local enterprises to increase their scientific and technical potential," said the managing director of Ulan-Ude aviation plant " Leonid Belykh .

The assembly and adaptation of helicopters to customer requirements will be carried out at aircraft repair plant No. 405 in the city of Almaty, which has the greatest competence in the repair and maintenance of the life cycle of this type of helicopter in the Central Asian region. The plant is certified by Kazakhstani and international authorities for the repair, modernization and maintenance of Mi-8/17/171 helicopters.

The assembled helicopters will be designed to transport passengers and cargo, rescue operations, forest protection, firefighting, air ambulance services, and law enforcement missions.

The use of experience and an extensive service network of aircraft repair plant No. 405 will provide integrated service support for customers in the field of deployment.

Kazakhstan is a long-time partner of the Russian Helicopters holding; several dozen Mi-8AMT / Mi-171 helicopters are operated in the country. The republic became the first foreign operator of the newest Mi-171A2 helicopter.

Russian Helicopters delivers first assemblies’ batch for Mi-8AMT helicopters to Kazakhstan


TASS - MOSCOW - Russian Helicopters has delivered to Kazakhstan the first batch of assembly kits for the state-of-the-art Mi-8AMT helicopters, to be assembled at the Kazakh plant, press service of the holding told reporters on Friday.

"The Ulan-Ude Aviation Plant of Russian Helicopters Holding supplied two Mi-8AMT helicopter kits to Kazakhstan for further assembly on the territory of the Republic," the press service says. "The contract made in 2019 stipulates the delivery of 17 helicopter kits during 2020-2022," the press service added.

Customers of Mi -8AMT helicopters in Kazakhstan are the National Guard and the Ministry of Emergencies. First assembled Mi-8AMT helicopters will be supplied for needs of the Kazakh Ministry of Emergencies.

Helicopters are intended to carry passengers and goods, participate in emergency and rescue operations, protection of forests, fire fighting, provision of ambulance aviation services and completion of law enforcement missions.
