Rolls-Royce, January 29, 2020 - Rolls-Royce has delivered its 250th engine to Enstrom Helicopter Corporation.

The RR M250-C20W has reliably powered the Enstrom 480B for more than 25 years, first entering service together in 1993. Engine number 250 will power a helicopter for the Botswana Police-Air Support Branch as part of a deal announced this week by Enstrom.

The 480B is Enstrom’s flagship turbine helicopter, known for its combination of safety, stability, comfort and value. The five-seat aircraft serves as a military trainer, and is well suited for law enforcement, emergency medical and commercial, agricultural and private operations.

The Enstrom 480B helicopter is powered exclusively by a single Rolls-Royce M250-C20W engine. The M250 is a compact, powerful and fuel efficient engine, which has proven to be extremely reliable in service – literally around the world in circumnavigation flights, and to the North Pole.

Jim Payton, Vice President of Sales – Civil Helicopters, Rolls-Royce said: “We’re proud of the strong relationship we’ve built with Enstrom Helicopter, exclusively powering the 480B for nearly three decades. To deliver 250 engines is a significant milestone and compelling testament to the exceptional fit and performance of the M250.”

Matt Francour, President, Enstrom Helicopter Corporation said: "The relationship between Enstrom and Rolls-Royce has been just like their engines -- strong and reliable. We look forward to maintaining our partnership for many years to come.”

The proven Rolls-Royce M250 engine has powered more than 260 million flight hours of dependable service. More than 33,000 M250 engines have been delivered to the marketplace.

M250 operators are supported by the Rolls-Royce FIRST network, a global, authorized system providing outstanding service. The FIRST network includes more than 30 approved, licensed service centers around the world, and its competitive structure means operators can find affordable and reliable service anywhere for Rolls-Royce M250 or RR300 engines.
