Rostec, December 28, 2017 - Serbia is in talks with Russia on buying six Mil Mi-17 multipurpose helicopters and setting up a #helicopter repair center, Serbian Defense Minister Aleksandar Vulin said in a live broadcast of the country’s national television.
The Mil Mi-17 (NATO reporting name: Hip) is a Russian helicopter in production at two factories in Kazan and Ulan-Ude. It is known as the Mi-8M series in Russian service.
The Mi-17 "Hip" model has been adopted by over twenty nations worldwide. Notable serial production has been ongoing since 1977 with totals reaching around 12,000 units.
