SPAES GmbH & Co. KG, August 06, 2023 - Karlsruhe, Germany - SPAES is delighted to announce the successful installation of the state-of-the-art MD302 Standby Attitude Module on the RH side of the instrument panel of an EC120 helicopter for one of its esteemed customers.
The MD302 Standby Attitude Module is a groundbreaking avionics unit that provides essential flight information, including altitude, attitude, airspeed, slip indication, and optional heading data. Located strategically beneath an existing GDU 1060 unit, the MD302 delivers vital real-time data, enhancing the safety and situational awareness of the aircraft and its crew.
The integration of the MD302 with the GDU 1060 facilitates seamless communication and data exchange, ensuring accurate and reliable information is readily available to the flight crew. The advanced features of the MD302 make it a vital addition to the EC120's avionics suite, further improving the helicopter's operational capabilities.
To ensure a seamless installation process, SPAES equipped the MD302 Standby Attitude Module with a specially designed doubler and secured it firmly with four high-quality screws. The complete mounting kit, including the doubler, rivets, and screws, was thoughtfully supplied with the MD302 unit, streamlining the installation and reducing downtime for the customer.
"The successful installation of the MD302 in the EC120 marks another milestone for SPAES in our commitment to enhancing aviation safety and performance," said Joachim Schanz, CEO of SPAES. "The MD302's advanced capabilities and seamless integration with the existing avionics suite underscore our dedication to delivering the highest standards of excellence to our customers."
