Russian Helicopters, July 29, 2019 - Russian Helicopters, part of Rostec State Corporatio, has delivered an Mi-8MTV-1 helicopter, manufactured by the Kazan Helicopter Plant, to Tuva Avia.

“For the Republic of Tuva, the purchase of new KVZ helicopters is a big step towards updating the fleet. For us, in turn, it is important that we entered this region with our helicopter technology. The Mi-8MTV-1 is an affordable and unpretentious machine designed for bezangarny storage and use in virtually all climatic conditions,” said the managing director of the Kazan helicopter plant, Yuri Pustovgarov.

Both delivered Mi-8MTV-1 helicopters for Tuva Avia are equipped with auxiliary power units, providing the function of an emergency source of electricity in flight in the event of a generator failure.

Inside and outside the aircraft, two additional fuel tanks have been installed, which significantly increases the range of flights.

The helicopters are equipped with cable external suspension as well as sanitary and rescue equipment. The Mi-8MTV-1 helicopters are also equipped with winches with a carrying capacity of up to 300 kilograms, which allow for rescue operations to be executed.

The airline “Tuva Avia” specializes in cargo and passenger transportation. Its fleet is equipped with Mi-8 helicopters and compact aircraft. With the help of Mi-8 helicopters, charter flights are performed on the territory of the Republic of Tuva with a load of up to two tons in the interests of tourists.
