Russian Helicopters, December 22, 2021 - The Russian Helicopters holding of the Rostec State Corporation has delivered the first Mi-8MTV-1 helicopters for Avialesokhrana.

The first two helicopters are readyfor deployment, the plant will build 4 more helicopters and hand them over to us at the end of next year. I hope that everything will be on time, because for the fight with fire, every aircraft counts ", commented the Minister of Natural Resources and Environment of Russia Alexander Kozlov.

The contract with FBU Avialesokhrana, concluded this year, provides for the delivery by the end of 2022 of six Mi-8MTV-1 helicopters to equip the interregional northern forest fire center, created in the Krasnoyarsk Territory on behalf of the President of the Russian Federation. The Government of the Russian Federation has allocated 5 billion rubles for staffing the center with personnel, aviation and ground equipment.

These machines will significantly expand the capabilities of the federal institution to extinguish fires and respond to emergencies. The multipurpose helicopters of the Mi-8MTV-1 family have unique flight technical and operational characteristics. They can be used in almost any climatic conditions, in a wide temperature range (from -50 to +50 degrees Celsius). The design and equipment of the Mi-8MTV-1 make it possible to operate autonomously based flights on unequipped sites.
