REGA

Established 1952, Schweizerische Rettungsflugwacht / Garde aerienne suisse de sauvetage (REGA) alarm number 1414, is a private non-profit HEMS ( helicopter emergency services ) organisation that provides air rescue in Switzerland and Liechtenstein.

Rega's initial permanent helicopter base was established in Zurich in 1968.

They achieved its 300,000th mission on October 2010

In 2021, Rega operating from 13 HEMS stations, carried out 14,330 missions, including transporting 471 COVID patients.
