1 Flight

Renamed from 1 Recce Flt at Detmold in 1958 as an Auster unit. Its Skeeter began to arrive in Dec 1958. Jan 1964 saw the unit become part of 655 Squadron. Amalgamated with 17/21 Lancers Air Troop and 3 Royal Horse Artillery Air Troop and then disbanded on 1 Oct 1969 to become 661 Squadron.

Reformed as a fixed wing Beaver unit at Aldergrove in Oct 1988, it now flies Islanders.
