Its Lynx were transferred to 34F in Mar 2010 and the unit was decommissioned.

Recommissioned on 4 Oct 2012, it received its first 3 NH-90 in a limited configuration, by May 2013.

31F specialises in deploying aboard Horizon class destroyers.
